Sometime in 2011, when we were in SS2 at Government College Katsina (GCK Pilot, now Dikko College Katsina), under the principalship of Alhaji Kabir Lawal Rumah, the school introduced a special library period. During that period, students were required to go to the library and read any book of their choice.

It was during one of those sessions that I came across a book titled Tarihin Wahabiyanci da Kafuwar Daular Saudi Arabia, written by Baba Danjuma Katsina. The book examined the history of Wahhabism and the formation of Saudi Arabia. It also explored world politics, especially in the Middle East, and discussed claims about foreign interference, espionage, and geopolitical conspiracies.

Earlier this month, when the #JeffreyEpstein saga resurfaced in global conversations, I found myself reflecting deeply. I felt I had once read literature that attempted to explain how global power structures, intelligence networks, and hidden political interests operate behind the scenes.
After some thought, I remembered the book and the circumstances that led me to it.

Earlier this week, I visited the author in search of a copy. He informed me that the book is currently out of print and that only one original copy remains with him. Kindly, he lent it to me to reread and also gifted me a biography of the late Alhaji M. D. Yusufu.

As an old ally of my father, baba danjuma told me that I should ask my father about the book, since he had gifted him a copy when it was first published in 2011.

The book covers a wide range of issues related to global politics, particularly the politics of the Middle East and Saudi Arabia, and the various power struggles surrounding them. We discussed the possibility of reprinting it soon, including an updated edition that would address recent and ongoing global political developments.
